What makes Fontana candles different from traditional candles?
Our candles are MADE SAFE® certified, meaning they are formulated without phthalates, parabens, or synthetic fragrances. We use a proprietary blend of beeswax, coconut oil, and pure essential oils for a clean, non-toxic burn.
Why do you use wooden wicks instead of cotton?
We use FSC-certified wooden wicks because they provide a unique, soothing crackle and a more even heat distribution. This ensures your candle burns cleanly to the edges without the lead or zinc found in some cotton wicks.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
We hand-pour our candles in small batches. Orders typically ship within 3-5 business days. Once your order has left our facility, you will receive a tracking number via email.
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
We want you to love your scent. If you are not satisfied, we offer returns on unburned candles within 30 days of purchase. Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable.
Are your candles safe to use around pets?
While our candles are made with natural ingredients, some essential oils can be sensitive for certain pets. We recommend burning our candles in well-ventilated rooms and consulting with your veterinarian if you have specific concerns.
How can I prevent my candle from tunneling?
To prevent tunneling, ensure the first burn lasts long enough for the wax to melt across the entire diameter of the jar. This usually takes 2-3 hours and sets the 'memory' for future burns.
